WordPress deletes categories

In this chapter, we'll look at how to remove categories from WordPress.

Here are some simple steps to remove categories in WordPress.

Step (1) - Click Posts in WordPress → Categories.

Step (2) - You can delete Category 1 (Category 1 was created in the Wordpress - Add Category chapter). /b10> When the cursor hovers over the category, several options appear below the category name. /b11> Click the Delete button, as shown in the following image.

When you click Delete, you receive a pop-up message asking for confirmation that a specific category is deleted, as shown in the following screenshot.

You can click the OK button and permanently delete the category.
