How is the eclipse ii similar to the first eclipse?

Asked by Ailani Melton on Dec 02, 2021 Eclipse

The Eclipse II resembled its predecessor Eclipse, including its coloration. However, certain aspects—like the engine arrays—were redesigned. In addition, a tower was added above the superlaser. The Eclipse II was developed around the same time as the first Eclipse, in 0 BBY–0 ABY.
In this manner,
Unlike the first Eclipse, however, the Eclipse II was developed directly above Byss. Similar to its sister ship, the Eclipse II was also delayed in completion due to Palpatine's demise. It served as the flagship of Emperor Palpatine after the destruction of the first Eclipse.
Additionally, It seems that all E-II models are just called Eclipse with no number designation. Here is the difference between a Full Thickness Eclipse model (in the center), a Les Paul (on the left) and a regular Eclipse (on the right.) The Full Thickness model has a 55mm thick body, which is essentially the same thickness as a Les Paul.
Just so,
The Eclipse was built above Kuat, whereas the Eclipse II was built over Byss. The appearance of both ships' hulls was derived from ancient nautical warships. By 4 ABY, both the Eclipse and the Eclipse II had its superlaser main weapon installed and in functional condition.
Subsequently,
Eclipse I Model - A mahogany body with a PLAIN maple top (or more commonly an opaque finish.) Must have 4 control knobs, similar to a Les Paul. Eclipse II Model - A mahogany body with a FIGURED (quilt or flame) maple top.
