Dr. Cook predicts that the major programming languages will have only 22 years left in the Java language.

According to Dr. John Cook of a foreign consultancy, the Go language will disappear in eight years, Java will live until 2039 and Python will live until 2043, according to programming website w3cschool.

Dr. Cook predicts that the major programming languages will have only 22 years left in the Java language.1

And the C language can live until 2062.

In this regard, many netizens are also quite opinionary:

Netizen I: Don't know if this programming language life prediction is reliable?

Netizen 2: If the GO language really will disappear after 8 years, then I now learn it why?

Netizen three: or first ask yourself what you want to do, see the future industry needs, and finally find the right tool.

Of course, Dr. John Cook's prediction is not hollow. He is based on the Lindy effect.

What is the Lindy effect? W3cschool is here to start with Cop.

Lindy effect: For things that will die out naturally, life expectancy decreases every day. The longer you experience it, the longer you will live in the future.

So what does this have to do with programming languages?

A puppy, for example, may live longer than an older dog, but the Lindy effect's anti-vulnerability is the opposite.

Books that have existed for a century will exist longer and longer, and will be visible in the next century. But the new book is the opposite.

However, it has also been said that Java does not necessarily live longer than the go language.

Existence is reasonable. D oes the longer a language exists, does that mean the better it is? Not necessarily, however, because some products in life may be made in one language and waste a lot of time and effort if they are to be replaced with other programming languages.

As a result, those "primitive" languages will continue to exist.

'I don't know what programming language will be used in 2100, but I know Fortran will continue to live,' said Turing Prize winner C.A.R. Hoare.

Of course, there are others who are more interested not only in the development of major languages, but also in the career life of programmers.

Finally, which programming language do you think will last? What's your basis?
