What is the difference between oracle fusion and oracle cloud?

Asked by Rhys Burton on Dec 09, 2021 Mini Program Cloud Development Study Guide

Oracle Cloud on the other hand is where the Oracle Fusion Applications reside. Hence unlike the Oracle EBS On Premise which used to be hosted on servers/data centers in client premises, the Oracle Fusion Applications for a client are stored in remote servers and hence the term ‘Cloud’.
Besides,
The name “Fusion” refers to the infrastructure in the Oracle cloud. The new application developments are designed for subscription services. The Oracle fusion applications are built for the comprehensive tasks of the business, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Human Capital Management (HCM).
In addition, Fusion comes in two different offerings, Cloud and On premise. The most common is Cloud or SaaS (Software as a Service) where Oracle hosts the instance in one of its servers, in return the client pays a monthly subscription depending on the number of modules implemented.
Subsequently,
Oracle EBS is different from Oracle Fusion Cloud. Both has its merits and demerits. But still, the fusion cloud is much more advanced and has the best user interface.
And,
During this time, Oracle acquired JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Siebel Systems and integrated those technologies from their technology suites into the Fusion applications. However oracle fusions are available both on premises and in cloud platforms.
