Is there a replacement for ckeditor in drupal 10?

Asked by Hadleigh Cole on Nov 30, 2021 FAQ

Replacing CKEditor with the new and very much improved CKEditor 5 was identified as a Drupal 10 initiative. This module aims to provide integration for CKEditor 5 in Drupal, and will recreate or improve on features in the core CKEditor, as well as provide a way for other contrib projects to add their own CKEditor 5 plugins and configuration.
Furthermore,
There is no Drupal 8 release of this contributed module, as it is part of the Drupal 8 core modules - read the module documentation . What is CKEditor? CKEditor is the far superior successor of FCKeditor.
Moreover, Drupal 8 to 9 was the easiest major Drupal upgrade in a decade. The next version is planned to be a similar step. Planned to be released in June 2022 with fallback dates in August and December, Drupal 10 will be a refined version of Drupal 9. The tools and processes to use to prepare for it are the same as with the previous upgrade.
Also,
This module will allow Drupal to replace textarea fields with the CKEditor 4 - a visual HTML editor, usually called a WYSIWYG editor. This HTML text editor brings many of the powerful WYSIWYG editing functions of known desktop editors like Word to the web. It's very fast and doesn't require any kind of installation on the client computer.
