Additionally,
Braided line is more durable than mono. It holds up better against the ultraviolet light of the sun that breaks down mono lines. Even if braided line is more expensive, it is more durable than mono. It will last several seasons of fishing, unlike mono. Braid will not stretch, making for a better hook set.
Accordingly, Braided line is much stronger than mono of the same diameter. This allows you to pack more line onto a smaller real, which can be extremely important when it comes to deep sea fishing when you need all the line you can get. Another benefit is its high level of sensitivity.
Keeping this in consideration,
Monofilament is made from nylon and is one long continuous filament, whereas braided fishing line is made up of several super-strong, very thin fibers made from material similar to Kevlar braided together to form a line that is basically round in cross section.
Subsequently,
A neater alternative to the messy milkmaid braid is the sleek one. What the two have in common is the loose locks, but a sleek braid will have the rest of the hair elegantly secured in place. If you can’t choose between a fishtail and a regular braid, you can always blend both as milkmaid braids.
