How to merge a bash patch with a merge patch?

Asked by Kristopher Melendez on Dec 07, 2021 FAQ

That said, what works for me is to 1. create a bashed patch with Wrye Bash, and then 2. a merged patch (into whcih via SSEedit, with the merged patch being at the very bottom of my load order, the bashed patch just above. Although the order might not matter actually (as in my case), as the merged patch does not contain the bashed patch as a master.
In this manner,
So if you make a bashed patch and then load a merged patch after it the merged patch will overwrite the leveled lists just like any other mod. If you want to use bash's lists the correct way is when you make the merged patch find the leveled lists section in tesedit and delete it.
Additionally, Load all your mods (minus things like skyproc mods that have dynamic patches) in tesedit and wait for the finished loading message. Then right click on a blank space in the left panel and choose create merged patch. It will say its not supported but click ok, then give it a name.
One may also ask,
With a bashed patch, both mods will be able to add a monster to the spawn point when you attain level 10. To create your bashed patch: First, Wyre Bash will colour any mods that can be included in the Bashed Patch green (as with moveitLWT.esp in my picture below).
Next,
If your merged patch contains changes from an incorrectly made mod skyrim will crash. That's not the merged patch's fault its skyrim/the mod's. The tesedit team was tired of complaints about it so they put the warning in. Is it necessary to add mods removed by Wrye Bash (merged into leveled lists and deactivated esp's) to your Merged Patch.
