How do you format quotes in apa format?

Asked by Ledger Gardner on Dec 03, 2021 FAQ

To format a quote, place the cursor at the beginning of the line, and click the Quote button on the APA Toolbar, or click Format, Styles and Formatting, Indent.
Besides,
Most APA citations include the author's last name and the year of publication. In a parenthetical citation, put a comma between these portions: (Jones, 2013). You may use a signal phrase instead to emphasize the author: According to Jones (2013).On a Web page, the author and date may be listed at the top, along the left margin or at the very bottom.
Next, Put the citation in parentheses at the end of the quote. Depending on how you introduced the quote, you may need to put the author, year, and page number of the quote. Separate these by commas, and put a "p." before the page number. Put this citation after the closing punctuation of the last sentence in the quote.
In addition,
‘Grace Quotes’ is a growing database containing over 10,000 great Christian quotes arranged over hundreds of topics. The material is from theologically sound, well-respected pastors, authors and Christian heroes from across the centuries.
