Asked by Junior Robbins on Dec 03, 2021 Windows

Windows Embedded Standard and Windows Embedded Industry are special versions for Windows desktop used for embedded / IoT system. These embedded / IoT editions include special lock down features that are not part of Windows desktop. These features protect the OS from sudden power cycles as well as create a custom look and feel.
In addition,
Here is description of Windows 7 Standard for Embedded systems: Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7) is the fully embedded version of Windows 7. This version of Windows 7 was designed to allow OEMs to create and deploy devices using the same drivers and run the same application software as Windows 7.
Additionally, Windows Embedded Industry, formerly Windows Embedded POSReady and Windows Embedded for Point of Service ( WEPOS ), is an operating system subfamily developed by Microsoft as part of its Windows Embedded family of products. Based on Windows NT, Windows Embedded Industry is designed for use in industrial devices such as cash registers, ...
Thereof,
Windows Embedded 8 is a stripped down version of Windows 8, Windows Embedded Compact 2013 is a real time OS. As for which os is the best we needed a realtime os for our industrial application and it has been a pain in the ass, if you don't need a realtime os then I would go with embedded.
Also,
Full Windows Embedded Systems differ from the modular variant as evidently in the full option all typical windows functionality is integrated alongside pre-built OS image and additional embedded functions such as filters and branding.
