Which is more dangerous a hard clue scroll or an elite clue scroll?

Asked by Cheyenne Kelley on Dec 11, 2021 FAQ

A hard clue scroll is a hazardous Treasure Trail, which can be very rewarding. An elite clue scroll is the penultimate, dangerous clue scroll (both to receive and to complete). Elite clue scrolls, however, require killing higher level monsters, which is rewarded by its greatest and most expensive rewards as compared to other levelled scrolls.
Just so,
Hard clue scrolls are between 1 to 8 clues long. Completion of the clue scroll will either give a scroll box (hard), containing another clue, or a reward casket (hard), containing rewards for completing the treasure trail. Hard clue scroll rewards can range from a few thousand coins to over 710,000,000 coins if a rare shadow dye is obtained.
Additionally, A clue scroll (elite) is the second highest tier clue scroll after the clue scroll (master) in the Treasure Trails Distraction and Diversion, in which a player follows a series of clues leading towards a buried treasure. They are obtained upon opening a sealed clue scroll (elite).
Thereof,
A clue scroll (hard) is part of the Treasure Trails Distraction and Diversion, in which a player follows a series of clues leading towards a buried treasure.
Likewise,
Killing Hellhounds - Hellhounds have the highest hard clue drop rate, at a rate of 1/64. Killing Hellhounds in the Wilderness with a Ring of wealth (i) will double that to a drop rate of 1/32. Killing Skotizo - Skotizo has a 100% drop rate for a hard clue scroll, although it requires a dark totem, which can be time consuming to obtain.
