Which is an example of rotation about the axis of rotation?

Asked by Alyssa Snow on Dec 11, 2021 FAQ

The ball reaches the bottom of the inclined plane through translational motion while the motion of the ball is happening as it is rotating about its axis which is rotational motion. Another example of rotation about an axis of rotation is the motion of the earth.
Accordingly,
Just as there are three planes of motion, there are three axes of rotation: the anterior-posterior axis, the mediolateral axis, and the longitudinal axis. Joints rotate in these axes, allowing movement to occur in the planes.
Besides, Rotation describes the circular motion of an object around its center. There are different ways things can rotate. A very familiar kind of rotation is when a spherical, three-dimensional object turns around an invisible line inside its center. This center is called an axis. Spinning basketballs turn around an axis.
Keeping this in consideration,
The radius of rotation is the length from the axis of rotation to the outer edge of the object being rotated. A simple example is one axle or hinge that allows rotation, but not translation (movement). The following image shows a two-dimensional shape (a half bell) rotating around a single, vertical axis of rotation.
Likewise,
In aviation, “axis of rotation” refers to one of three axes, about which an airplane pitches, rolls, or yaws. An aircraft’s three axes of rotation. The three axes (shown in the above image with blue arrows) are: Longitudinal (roll), controlled by ailerons. Vertical (yaw), controlled by the rudder. 2. Earth’s Axis of Rotation
