When to escalate to a full synchronization?

Asked by Veronica Colon on Dec 12, 2021 FAQ

A synchronization will escalate to a full synchronization if there are configuration changes that require a full synchronization, such as: switching to a different default SUP, changes in the subscription, changes in the supersedence mode or window.
Indeed,
A synchronization will also escalate to a full synchronization periodically every 7 days (a period configurable in the site control file under "Full Sync Interval (days)").
Next, Escalations are a tool to help you resolve issues quickly. If you've made your way through the first 3 steps, you're ready to escalate. If you need more than 3-5 days to gather critical information, that’s ok, but try not to let the alignment period drag on.
In fact,
A delta sync needs to happen within 7 days from the last delta sync. A delta sync (following a full sync) needs to happen within 7 days from the time the last full sync completed. Failure to do so may cause synchronization issues which will require you to run a full synchronization to resolve.
Just so,
Emails are effective tools to escalate issues when, at minimum, these two factors are met: You escalate issues to the right people You escalate issues at the right time An escalation to people who hold little interest in the issue being solved will prove to be ineffective at quickly mitigating those issues.
