What kind of multithreading does amd ryzen have?

Asked by Wes Curtis on Dec 08, 2021 FAQ

All consumer Ryzens have an unlocked multiplier and all support Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) except earlier Zen/Zen+ based desktop Ryzen 3 and Zen/Zen+/Zen 2 (Lucienne excluded) based mobile Ryzen 3.
Also,
While they can't have Hyperthreading (it being a brand name), the underlying technology they use is the same. Ryzen has Simultaneous Multi Threading its not hyperthreading as on intel processors exactly, but effectively does the same thing.
Accordingly, Its not absent. Its just not present in processors which have same no of cores= threads. for example ryzen 5 3500 has 6/12 cores threads whereas ryzen 5 3600 has 6/12 cores threads. So 3600 supports hyperthreading which helps in gaming as well as multitasking upto a good extent.
Indeed,
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The AMD Ryzen family is an x86-64 microprocessor family from AMD, based on the Zen microarchitecture. The Ryzen lineup includes Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, Ryzen 9, and Ryzen Threadripper with up to 64 cores.
Besides,
Zen is AMD's architecture that enabled the company to take the fight to Intel and retain some market share before falling off the battlefield. AMD was in a slow decline, but everything was pinned on the success of Zen. Ryzen is the branding used for the new processors, which are separated into numerous families.
