How to configure session timeout and idle timeout?

Asked by Nico Schmidt on Dec 13, 2021 FAQ

1. How to configure session timeout and idle timeout I am using an Aruba 620 controller and AP105's running Aruba OS 6.1.3.6 and I am trying to configure a session time out and idle timeout without success.
Besides,
Session timeout. Please log again! Session timeout. Please log again! Copyright © 2021 Ameta International Inc. All Rights Reserved.
In respect to this, 1.Configure the timeout value in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file with below parameter values. 2. Restart the ssh service after setting the values. This would make the session timeout in 10 minutes as the ClientAliveCountMax value is multiplied by the ClientAliveInterval value.
Also,
Session.Timeout has no hard-coded limit. Most Web administrators set this property to 8 minutes. It should not be set higher than 20 minutes (except in special cases) because every open session is holding onto memory. It should also not be set lower than 4 minutes because clients rarely respond within that time resulting in a loss of session state.
In fact,
Click the portal settings (gear) icon and then click the 'Configure directory level timeout'. Enable the feature, set a time span (hours and minutes) and click Apply. Once configured, the changes will take effect after a logout/login and all users of the tenant will see a message in the portal settings pane.
