How does visual assist work in visual studio 2017?

If you are installing to Visual Studio 2017, you may be prompted to install dependent components. After installation, access Visual Assist from within an IDE. Installation does not create any program groups, Start Menu items, or desktop shortcuts.

Here's how. Find the workload you want in the Installing Visual Studio screen. For example, choose the ".NET desktop development" workload. After you choose the workload(s) you want, choose Install. Next, status screens appear that show the progress of your Visual Studio installation.
