How does oracle odi work with oracle warehouse builder?

Asked by Cannon Adams on Dec 09, 2021 FAQ

It includes interoperability with Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) for a quick and simple migration for OWB customers to ODI12c. Additionally, ODI can be monitored from a single solution along with other Oracle technologies and applications through the integration with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c.
In this manner,
Because of its close integration to the Oracle Database and its reliance on Oracle PL/SQL as a deployment mechanism, it's been a popular choice for data warehousing and BI shops that lean toward backend solutions as opposed to more heterogeneous tool solutions.
Moreover, Since OWB 10.2, many features of Warehouse Builder require the Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition license or other licenses. The Oracle Database license permits the use of OWB basic ETL features. See Feature Groups and Licensing for details.
Thereof,
Define the specified technology in ODI, or modify the file PlatformMappingsForMigration.xmlto refer to a correct ODI technology. This file contains the mappings between OWB platforms and ODI technologies. For more information about this file and these mappings, see OWB Platform to ODI Technology.
Next,
Unlike Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and some other FMW products, which require the Repository Creation Utility (RCU) to be run prior to the software installation, ODI actually installs the RCU as part of the base product install.
