Can a shiny eevee evolve into a shiny sylveon?

Asked by Guadalupe Butler on Dec 11, 2021 FAQ

Since Eevee is itself capable of appearing as a Shiny in Pokemon GO, its evolutions or "Eeveelutions" have all been confirmed to be Shiny as well at this point. Because Sylveon is another Eevee evolution, it stands to reason that it will additionally be capable of having a Shiny form, as evolving a Shiny Eevee should do the job perfectly fine.
Consequently,
Eevee won't evolve until it reaches level 36, and its stats at level 36 will determine if it evolves into the fire-type Pokemon Flareon, the electric-type Jolteon, or the water-type Vaporeon. If Pokemon Quest players want their Eevee to evolve into Flareon, then its attack stat needs to be higher than its HP.
Indeed, Sylveon is the fairy type evolution of Eevee. There is a high chance that this evolution will be added to the game eventually, but until then, they only exist in other games, as it first appeared in Pokémon X and Y. The shiny version of Sylveon is blue as opposed to pink.
Accordingly,
The answer is actually a bit complicated. For one, the answer is “no”. The Eevee and Pikachu that you get at the beginning of the game cannot evolve. So you can’t buy Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and end up with your own special Flareon, for example. The Eevee you get at the beginning of the game will be an Eevee...
In respect to this,
To trigger an encounter with an Eevee you need to spin PokeStops until you receive the 'Evolve a Pokemon' quest. Complete the task and cross your fingers the Eevee you encounter is shiny. When you do find that Shiny Eevee you will need a 25 candy to evolve it into one of the various Eevee-lutions.
