Can a gen iv sprite be a gen v sprite?

Asked by Robert Dunn on Dec 12, 2021 FAQ

Regarding Trainers from Gen IV and Gen V. As these sprites are more anatomically correct than 80% and 90%, depending on the individual's pose and head sprite. For sprites that are siginificantly taller, it may be necessary to shorten the arms and legs.
Subsequently,
It also has many Gen 5 sprites of Gen 1-3 Pokemon, that are resized and also ready to be inserted. They look much better than their Gen 3 counterparts, although not all of them are completed.
And, There is however an issue with inserting these sprites. BW-style sprites normally can't be inserted into a third-generation game as is. This is because third-generation games have a maximum sprite size of 64x64, and fifth generation games have a sprite size of 96x96.
Moreover,
I'm guessing this was because in Generation II, all sprites were either 40x40, 48x48, or 56x56, so they decided to have these imaginary boundaries in the Ruby/Sapphire sprites in order to make Pokemon relative in size to each other. This means that most small Pokemon will be exactly the same size as they are in Gen IV & V.
In respect to this,
When hacks use D/P/Pt/HG/SS/B/W sprites, often times they have to be resized to 64x64 to fit, but the hacker rarely actually cleans them up (especially backsprites). So I've taken it upon myself to make sprite sheets for all 649 Pokémon, compatible with Wichu's sprite editor.
