Are there going to be road closures on the a127?

On some nights, when the roadwork teams calibrate the new average speed cameras, entire road closures will be required along this stretch of the A127. There will be diversions in place when overnight closures occur. Essex Highways have said these will be announced as and when they have been organised, as no dates have yet been given.

Besides, Over the next six weeks, overnight lane closures will take place along a stretch of the A127. These works will be carried out every night between 9pm in the evening until 5am the following morning. During the daytime, the lane closures are set to be lifted.

The new limit will stretch from the Fortune of War roundabout in Laindon to just past the Pound Lane/Cranfield Park Road junctions near the Dick Turpin pub. The lane closures will need to be put along this stretch of road so that new signs and camera can be installed.

A13 eastbound – one lane closed between the A126 (Lakeside) and A1089 (Tilbury) junctions. A13 both directions – closed between the A1089 (Tilbury) and A128 (Orsett) junctions, with diversions via the A13, M25, A127 and A128 and vice versa. A separate diversion will be in place for vehicles that aren’t allowed on motorways.
