WordPress adds a link

In this chapter, we'll learn to add links to the WordPress page. /b10> A link is a connection from one resource to another. /b11> Adding links to your page or blog post can help you connect to other pages.

Here's a quick step to add a link to WordPress.

Step (1) - Click All Pages on page → WordPress.

Step (2) - The list of pages created in WordPress will display a screen like the one shown below. /b10> Select any page to add a link to it. /b11> Here, we'll add a link to the About Us page.

Step (3) - Select any sentence or word you want to add a link to. /b10> Here, we'll add a link to Lorem.

Step (4) - When you click the Insert/Edit link symbol, the following pop-up window appears.

The following are the fields that appear in the insert/edit link.

  • URL - Enter the URL you want to associate with.

  • Link text - Insert the text you want to enter in the link.

  • Open link in a new window/tab - Open a link page in a new tab or window. /b10> Check the box as needed.

  • Or link to existing account - Add a link to an existing content page by selecting a page from a given list. /b10> Click Or link to existing account and the list of pages and posts will appear as follows.

When you select a specific page or post from the list, a link is created in the URL field, as shown in the previous screen. /b10> Click on Add Link .

Step (5) - When you hover over the word Lorem, the link tool tip will appear as shown in the following image.

Click the Update button to update changes in your information page or information.
