When used in conjunction with the XSLT and xsl:choose and element, it represents a multi-conditional selection.

Definitions and usages
The elements are used in collaboration with slt;xsl:choose> elements and slt;xsl:otherwise?gt; to express multiple conditional testing.
If there is no slt;xsl:when-gt; is true, then the content of the slt;xsl:otherwise-gt;
Nothing is created if there is no element of slt;xsl:when?gt; is true and there is no .lt;xsl:otherwise?gt;
Tip:
For simple conditional testing, replace
it with the element of slt;xsl:if.gt;
