In this chapter, we'll look at Permalink settings in WordPress. /b10> A fixed link is a permanent link to a specific blog post or category. /b11> It allows you to set the default fixed link structure. /b12> These settings are used to add posts that are permanently linked to your WordPress. /b13> Here are the steps to access the permanent link settings.
Step (1) - Click sets in the left navigation menu → Permalinks option.
Step (2) - When you click on a fixed link, the following page appears on the screen.
Here are some settings that you can:
Common settings (common settings)
Check any option buttons to select your fixed link structure for your blog
Default - It sets the default URL structure in Wordpress.
Day and name - Set the URL structure based on the date and name in the post.
Month and name - Set the URL structure based on the month and name in the post.
Numeric ( Numbers) - It sets numbers in the URL structure of your information.
Post name ( Set the post name in the post's URL structure.
Custom Structure ( It sets the URL structure of your choice by entering the name you want in a given text box.
Optional
These are optional. /b10> You can add a custom structure to the main category or code URL. /b11> If the text box is empty, the default settings are used. /b12> There are two options.
Category Base - Add a custom prefix to the category URL.
Tag Base - Add a custom prefix to the tag URL.
Step (3) - Once you're done with your changes, click the Save Changes button to save the pinned link settings.
