WordPress edits categories

In this chapter, we'll learn the simple steps of editing categories in WordPress.

Here are some easy steps to edit categories in WordPress.

Step (1) - Click Posts in WordPress → Categories.

Step (2) - You can view Category 1 (Category 1 was created in the WordPress - Add Category chapter). /b10> When the cursor hovers over the category, several options appear below the category name. There are two ways to edit categories, Edit and Quick Edit

Edit - Click the Edit option in the category section, as shown in the following screenshot.

You can edit any required fields and click the Update button, as shown in the following screen.

The category field is the same as the WordPress - Add Category chapter.

Quick Edit - Click on the Quick Edit option in the category section, as shown on the screen below.

Here, you can only edit the name and paragraph of the category, as shown on the screen below, and then finally click the Update Category button.
