AVG() function

The AVG() function returns the average value of the numeric column.

SQL AVG() syntax

SELECT AVG(column_name)
FROM table_name
WHERE condition;

SQL AVG() instance


The following SQL statement finds the average price for all products:

SELECT AVG(Price)
FROM Products;

The following SQL statement selects the "ProductName" and "Price" records with prices above the average price:
