Simulation is a computational technique that uses repeated calculations on many different random samples to estimate statistics. U sing SAS, we can simulate complex data that specifies statistical properties in real-world systems. W e use software to build system models and digitally generate data that you can use to better understand the behavior of real-world systems. P art of designing a computer simulation model is to determine what aspects of a real-life system need to be included in the model so that the data generated by the model can be used to make effective decisions. B ecause of this complexity, SAS has a dedicated software component for simulation.
The SAS software component used to create the SAS simulation is called SAS Simulation Studio. I ts graphical user interface provides a complete set of tools for building, executing, and analyzing the results of discrete event simulation models.
