May 22, 2021 Docker From entry to practice
Control groups (cgroups) are a feature of the Linux kernel that is used primarily to isolate, restrict, audit, and so on shared resources. Only by controlling the resources allocated to containers can you avoid competition for system resources when multiple containers are running at the same time.
Control group technology was first proposed by Google's programmers in 2006, and the Linux kernel has been supported since 2.6.24.
Control groups can provide restrictions and audit management on resources such as the container's memory, CPU, disk IO, and so on.
