The opening chapter introduces the advantages and disadvantages of different interface technologies for computer hardware storage devices, and thus introduces the topic of iSCSI technology. i SCSI technology enables the combination of physical hard disk devices and TCP/IP network protocols, allowing users to easily access shared storage resources provided by remote rooms over the Internet. T his chapter will lead you to deploy iSCSI server-side programs on Linux systems and access remote storage resources based on Linux and Windows systems, respectively. Through this chapter and chapters 6 and 7, readers will further understand and master how to manage hard disk devices and storage resources in Linux systems, laying a solid foundation for future operational positions.
