Razor is not a programming language. It is the markup language on the server side.
Razor is a markup syntax that lets you embed server-based code (Visual Basic and C#) into a Web page.
Server-based code creates dynamic web content when a Web page is delivered to a browser. W hen a web page is requested, the server executes the server-based code on the page before returning it to the browser. By running the server, code can perform complex tasks, such as accessing a database.
Razor is ASP.NET and is designed to create web applications.
It has traditional ASP.NET, but is easier to use and learn.
Razor uses syntax similar to PHP and classic ASPs.
